For our dispatch program we use Trinium. What we like about Trinium is our ability to get near real time info on when the driver has arrived and departed from pick up location and destination along with the ability to have our clients sign electronically upon delivery. I'm sure our dispatchers could tell you more clearly all the things they like and dislike about Trinium but overall We've found it to be a very effective tool. |

Their "app" for drivers is not an app it's a web portal. Our drivers often lose connection inside port terminals and it would be preferable to have a native app running on their smartphones. The user interface and a lot of the advanced functions are also not user friendly. |

We use TMW. It works alright for our intermodal operations. Our systems are designed for over-the-road dispatch since that's mostly what we do. We just adapt it for our port operations. I don't have any opinion on their customer service or pricing as I'm just a user. |

Everything - very expensive and they charge for everything. We send an email to ask a question about using a certain feature and there is usually a fee associate with them replying to the email. Several features we asked if their software could perform - we were billed for - then they released an update for their entire client base and it included these features...... we were charged for expanding their service offering.... Would not recommend anyone utilize this software. When we have the opportunity to migrate to another platform we will. |

We are very happy with the performance of our Trinium software. We have had issues with bugs in the upgrades that maybe should have been eliminated in testing before release but they have been farily quick to correct those issues. Our biggest headache has been interfacing with Quickbooks but they have worked many hour gratis to correct those problems. |

We’re still on Trinium. It has all the necessary functionality that we need. It has an older style user interface though which I don’t like and to do things you end up having to go to multiple screens a lot of the time which reduces efficiency a lot. |

I would have a hard time coming up with downsides of the software. A driver sends the information and the system relays that information to the customer. It cuts down on so much time and it warns us if there is issues with the data, like if the trailer number doesn't make sense. I have seen nothing that impresses me even slightly when you compare it with Compcare. |

We have been using it since 1996 and would not be able to run our business (intermodal or any other aspect) if we did not have it. There is a ton of functionality available that we have not even tapped yet. The customers service is terrific and more importantly, they are very thorough with training an set up, which is the most important aspect of these ERP programs. I believe the pricing is competitive and definitely a value considering all that comes with the software. |

We’re happy with Profit Tools, they have good customer support, and the system has worked well for us. The one complaint that I have is that the software is not very intuitive or user freindly in terms of the user being able to teach yourself to utilize its capabilities, without scheduling training. That’s just my opinion, I haven’t worked that hard at it, to be fair. |

Not only are they responsive to our needs, they themselves have partnered with many other facets of the industry to work together. For example they work with Geotab drive which seamlessly integrates information to our dispatch team. They also work with Disc Mobile enabling our drivers to become “paperless” and work with ActiveTRAC. ActiveTRAC is a web-based application developed by W.Interactive, in conjunction with Profit Tools enabling our customers to have instant access to information. |

We are currently using two dispatch software systems, PCS and Trinium.
PCS is easy to use and is good for small fleets. It is somewhat limited on the operational side but is very good on the payables (settlement) side and has good reports. They provide online and one on one training which is very good. Their support overall is excellent. The PCS software price is fair for the system you receive.
Trinium, a much more powerful system requires more user training but is great for larger fleets as it will provide more operational information and is easy to manipulate large amounts of data. Set up is labor intensive and tedious (because it is so powerful). The payables side is not as easy to use as the operational side but they are eager to make necessary program changes. Their training is limited which is surprising due to the complexity of the system. They prefer to train designated individuals and make them superusers who can train others. The price of the system is somewhat expensive. |

We like the inclusiveness of the features that stretch across various areas of our company. Such as the way equipment maintenance is visible to the dispatchers, shop, and safety, etc all at the same time. We like the special events tracking and how it ties in to the driver files, equipment files, etc. All in all, Truckmate is a solid with respect to information sharing from dispatch, to billing, to driver settlement, to accounting, etc., etc. We do not like the optimization feature utilized in the dispatch module. For our type of business and the way we utilize the software, this feature is an unnecessary and cumbersome waste of time. TMW’s basic support is very good. However, anything that requires development or escalated support is very disappointing. |

We still use Profit Tools. While it functions well enough, it is not very intuitive and lacks any real manual or help lookup. They are generally very responsive if you call or email for help. Searching and reporting is ridiculously cumbersome for an application as mature as theirs is. No “query by example” features that I ever found and most of their reports go to proprietary application that cannot be converted to word or a pdf. The brokerage component is obviously an afterthought with very limited capabilities compared with most broker software. They have few very knowledgeable people, but most lack an understanding of the total overall functionality past their area of expertise so you have to move around for answers. |

They have been receptive when we needed help, have done seminars for us/our drivers and they respond quickly. The dislike is they have glitches on different devices (we have owner operators so they all use their own device) and they are working on them and getting better each update. We feel they are a strategic partner. |

The only thing we don't like about EROAD is the 3 year contract. Anything with a contract that goes beyond a year is questionable in case there are problems.
What we like is that it's a plugged in device. It's always on the dash and does not require any extra time on the driver. Blue tooth/phones/tablet solutions are all very time consuming to log into the device after you get the truck running. If the phone battery dies, or is low..you have problems. You have to rely heavily on the driver's own personal equipment and that would be a huge drawback. With Eroad, its a plugged in device so that totally eliminates all of those issues. It also does IFTA reporting for you. |

Also the other programs I looked at did things like put driver violations for out of hours in red for the cops. We want them to work for it not point it out. Cost factor as well, some were more costly and then we would have to get licenses to merge their programs with Keller. |

Dislike that it switches driver statuses incorrectly. Driver could be off duty taking a break and will switch back to on duty or drive even if driver isn’t moving |

Like – One cable install, low cost of start up (they provide hardware), easy to use platform
Dislike – does not have dedicated cell signal so you have to piggyback on a tablet or cell phone – this works well 95% of the time – but sometimes creates some challenges. |

I use KEEPTRUCKIN for my ELD. It works pretty well. The drivers access it off their cell phones and it is a once a year fee. I really have not been using it long enough to say what I like or dislike about it. I do like the fact that it has a GPS and I know exactly where my trucks are all the time. |

4-2-18 ELD We have tested a few and none that we’ve tested seem to work well. We have just begun to test Keep Truckin. It is early in the testing phase buy so far this one seems to work better than the others. Certainly from the drivers perspective |

Likes: Ease of use and great customer support
Dislikes: Connectivity issues with BYOD – Our drivers were using their smart phones to log their HOS and kept having Bluetooth interruptions with the app. This mostly occurred when they made a call or played music on their phone. We remedied this by requiring all drivers to have a dedicated tablet (Android or iOS). |

local office is in Tualatin, Oregon and headquarters is in Auckland, New Zealand. Ongoing issues with the ELD’s not being accurate. I understand from my contacts that other vendors are having similar issues. I attribute this to the Obama administration dragging their feet on the deadlines to provide required specifications for the units and these delays worked against the industry. While I fully support the ELD concept I feel it is in no way “ready for prime time” on December 18, 2017. |
