I have not worked with any other dispatch software other than TMW but I’ve heard good things about Profit Tools.In my opinion, I think that TMW is definitely more customer friendly in giving them the updates/status on their loads. I do not think TMW is as user friendly as it could be because we have found flaws in it that we do not like but have to work around. The customer service entry part of TMW is easy once you are trained properly but the dispatch part is still a little hard to get used to. As far as how the system is working out for our operation, it is going well. It takes some time to teach the drivers how to read the loadcards that they are given but I think there is a little too much information that the driver doesn’t need. |

Since we use TMW I have nothing to compare it with...We really like TMW for truckload and brokerage. There are probably options that we dont' use for intermodal which would make it rock but as we use TMW I'd call it adequate. |

We use TMW it is very powerful, lot of work on front end. We have integrated it with a lot though. Such as Onbase for imaging. We will be far ahead of curve when we are complete. I could talk about this at nausim, I think is the future. |

We presently use TMW. Basically good for presenting from the field; operation billing and driver information for corporate invoicing and settlement.We are in process of rolling out to all our Intermodal facilities a new operational dispatch, billing and settlement software program to all 47 of our facilities.This system is in house designed specifically by and for Intermodal use. No more of Intermodal as an after thought in trucking software. |

TMW and the system is great for invoicing and basic tracking however the per diem tracking is non existent without crystal report supplementals and even then it is not not great at per diem tracking. From my past experience Vilden Systems has one of the best Intermodal systems in existenance. |

We use TMW (Truckmate) and have had loads of problems over the past 4 years. Customer service is poor and slow. Take a look at Cargowise or McLeod. |

We currently use TMW to dispatch all our drivers. I think the system is great to work with once you get involved in it.Customer service is very good with our problems we have. |

We use TMW ....It's not that bad but it works mainly with trailer loads not designed for container but we manage. |

The decision to use TMW Systems for our dispatch was done before I started. However, I’ve been told they did some comparison against various other software and felt this was the best value for the services. We have the ability to interface with our trucks communication, receiving and send Electronic communications. They have also developed the functionality to send out load tenders but isn’t something we currently require. Their customer service is very good as they work to solve any problems and is covered under their 18% annual maintenance fee, excluding support for customizations. |

Back in 2003-04 we started our search for a new TMS for our trucking operations.
We looked at most of the products on the market. Surprisingly enough,
there are not many Intermodal based systems on the market that could handle a company of our size.
To sum it up, I personally liked Profit Tools,it did not seem to have the platform at that time to manage our needs but,it did have good Intermodal processes.
We ended up coming to terms with Maddocks Truckmate which was at that time a T/L based software company out of Canada.
Strong system with little,Intermodal functionality. So, part of the deal was, we would assign a project team from Intermodal Ops and assist them in developing the Intermodal functionality in their system.
A couple of years back, Maddocks merged with TMW and most of the Intl functionality you will see in that system comes from Maddocks.
Anyway, we loved working with Maddocks, had some rough spots with TMW after merger, but seem to be getting back on track. |

We use TMW. It works alright for our intermodal operations. Our systems are designed for over-the-road dispatch since that's mostly what we do. We just adapt it for our port operations. I don't have any opinion on their customer service or pricing as I'm just a user. |
